VALPARAISO, IN - The Wright State women's soccer team came into Sunday's non-conference match against Valparaiso with a perfect record, winning both exhibitions and the first three regular season matches. It took a late goal by Destiny Johnson for the Raiders to leave the northwestern Indiana campus with a 2-2 tie.
Scoring got underway in the 33rd minute for Valpo as freshman Nicole Norfolk hit the net off a Natalie Graf corner kick.
Wright State responded seven minutes later as sophomore Josie Krupp beat Valpo goalkeeper Kezia Gesell.
The match remained even almost 13 minutes into the second half when freshman Kiley Dugan drilled one in from 30 yards on a fantastic effort. The Raiders weren't done, though. In the 84th minute Krupp snuck a pass between two defenders to Johnson, who converted from 15 yards out.
Both teams had good looks in the overtime periods but couldn't convert.
The Raiders make their way back to Dayton with a 3-0-1 record, while Valpo moves to 0-2-1.
