Raiders run at Ball State Tune-Up Friday night

The Wright State track and field team had one final check point before next week's Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday night at the Ball State Tune-Up inside the BSU Field Sports Building, turning in several personal bests.

Jennifer Ramsey won the 400-meter race with a time of 59.06, which converts to a new indoor best for her, while Sophia Angelopoulos was just behind her for a second-place finish with her time of 1:02.00 and Emma Carr finished third with a personal best time of her own at 1:06.98. Ramsey also set a new personal best in the 60-meter dash, turning in a time of 8.20, while Iman Salhieh was the top Raider finisher with her 7.94 mark.

In the 800-meter race, Victoria Angelopoulos was the top Wright State finisher with her time of 2:28.59, while Alycea Ruhlen followed closely with her new personal best time of 2:29.02.

Running unattached in the mile run, Shelby Nolan set a new personal best and facility record with her time of 4:58, her first sub-five-minute mile time, before coming back with a second-place finish in the 1,000-meter run with a personal best time of 3:00.36. In seven indoor races this season, Nolan has now turned in six personal bests and four event wins.
