The Wright State women's basketball team's run in the Horizon League Championship came to an end Thursday night in the Quarterfinals, falling to Cleveland State 63-52 inside the Nutter Center.

With the victory, Cleveland State advances to Indianapolis for the Horizon League Championship Semi-finals and Wright State falls to 19-12 overall.

The Raiders opened the fourth quarter with an Alexis Stover layup but Cleveland State would go on a 15-2 run over the next 3:49 to take control of the contest. The run would prove to be the difference maker as the Raiders held the Vikings without a field goal over the final 4:50 of the game but see Cleveland State hit six free throws over the final minutes to help seal their ticket to Indy.

Tyler Frierson led the scoring efforts for the Raiders finishing with a team-leading 12 points and pulling down a game high 12 points. Angel Baker tallied 9 points of her own while Michal Miller added six to the scoreline.

Wright State finished the contest shooting just 31.3 percent from the field (21-for-67) and just 12.5 percent from beyond the arc (2-for-16), while Cleveland State shot 37.0 percent from the field (20-for-54) and 35.3 percent (6-for-17) from beyond the arc.

The Raiders went to the free throw line 17 times, connecting on eight such opportunities (47.1 percent), while the Vikings had 22 such opportunities and tallied 17 points, shooting 77.3 percent.

Wright State's bench tallied 17 points to Cleveland State's seven and recorded 30 points in the paint.

Wright State recorded an advantage on the glass, out rebounding Cleveland State 45-41, but the Vikings fought on the defensive side of things tallying 33 rebounds to the Raiders' 27.
