Wright State to participate in YSU Mid Major Invitational

The Wright State Track and Field team is back on the road this weekend, as they take part in the YSU Mid Major Invitational, a two day even that spans January 29 and 30 at the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).
Day one of the Mid Major Invitational is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. with a variety of field events with running events beginning at 2:30 p.m. Day two of competition resumes at 10 a.m. with a combination of running and field events.
The meet will feature 17 schools, including four fellow Horizon League members. Ashland, Carlow, Cleveland State, Geneva, Lake Erie, Madonna, Malone, Northern Kentucky, Ohio Christian, Point Park, Robert Morris, Shawnee State, Transylvania, Walsh, Westminster (Pa.), Wright State and Youngstown State will be competing.
The YSU Mid Major Invitational is a closed meet, therefore fans are not permitted to attend. Fans are encouraged to follow the live stats both days. Â

Last Time Out
The Wright State Track & Field team began its 2021 indoor season Saturday at the Mastodon Invitational, opening the campaign with seven Top-10 finishes and 13 personal bests.
Freshman Melissa Siler set a personal best in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.65 seconds, while junior Tatiana Brown also set a personal best in the same event with a time of 9.12 seconds. Wright State saw three finishers in the one mile, led by freshman Emma Shigley's personal best time of 5:32.46. Emma Johnson and Kaitlyn Miller finished just seconds off each other, with times of 5:54.86 and 5:56.14, respectively. Five different Raiders placed in the 800 meter run led by Alycea Ruhlen, with a time of 2:32.13. Freshman Callista Hess set a personal best in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.42 meters, an event that also saw three other Raiders tally the same height.
