Women's Basketball Inks Four in First Signing Class

Wright State women's basketball coach Kari Hoffman has announced the signing of four players to join the Raider program and continue their educations at Wright State University.
 
The newest Raiders are: Bella Cassoni, Makiya Miller, Lauren Scott and Macie Taylor.
 
"We are really excited to bring in our first recruiting class," Hoffman said. "This is a special group that will help us continue to make this program successful!"
 
Here's some background on each signee:
 
Bella Cassoni: A guard from Waynesville, Ohio, Cassoni preps at Waynesville Hight School. She averaged 13.3 points per game and 2.5 assists per game last year while shooing 38 percent from the floor and being named a first team performer in the Southwestern Buckeye League.
 
Makiya Miller: A guard from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Miller preps at Reynoldsburg High School, where she averaged 10 points, seven assists and two rebounds last year. She has been named an all-league performer for the last two years at Reynoldsburg.
 
Lauren Scott: A guard from Columbus, Ohio, Scott preps Worthington Kilbourne High School, where she averaged 21.7 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game and 1.3 assists per game last year while shooting 48 percent from the floor with a 39 percent clip from three-point range. Scott was Ohio Capital Conference Buckeye Player of the Year and was a third team All-State performer last season.
 
Macie Taylor: A guard from Troy, Ohio, Taylor preps at Troy High School, where she is a 1,000-point scorer and holds the career scoring average in school history. She was named a first team all-league performer last season.
