
Joe Kouadio named Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week

DAYTON/INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State men's soccer junior Joe Kouadio has been named the Horizon League's Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Friday afternoon.
Kouadio scored two crucial goals in Wright State's 3-2 OT victory on the road against Detroit Mercy, while adding four of the Raiders eight points. In the second half, Kouadio recorded the game tying goal in the 48th minute. As the final seconds of the first overtime period drew near, Kouadio connected on a cross from Harvey Slade to record the golden goal. The London native recorded two shots, both of which were on goal for the Raiders.
Wright State is 1-1-0 on the season and 1-1-0 in Horizon League action. The Raiders return home to Alumni Field on February 16, as they welcome Northern Kentucky for a 1 p.m. contest.
