Raiders tally 11 Top 10 finishes at Yellow Jacket Open

The Wright State track and field team turned in 11 Top 10 finishes on its way to a sixth place finish at the Yellow Jacket Open hosted by Cedarville University on Saturday.
Abigail Halsey paced the Raiders with her first place finish in the 3000 meter steeple chase with a time of 10:54 to also tally the third fastest time in Wright State history. Tiffany Ward turned in an eighth place finish in the event with her time of 12:55.01.
In the 1500 meter run, Shelby Nolan paced Wright State with a record-breaking performance for the second weekend in a row. The Whitehouse, OH native turned in a second place finish with her time of 4:33 to set a new Wright State record. Alicia Neumeier placed ninth with her time of 4:46, tallying a personal best. Lauren Shuman's 12th place finish (4:51) was a season-best for the junior. Alycea Ruhlen (38th, 5:13) and Kaitlyn Miller (42nd, 5:14) also competed in the event.
Shelby Nolan tallied her second top-five finish in the 5000 meters, finishing third with her time of 17:18.35. Emma Shigley finished 20th with her time of 18:33.44.
Lauren Shuman tallied another Raider top five finish with her time of 2:24.79 in the 800 meters run.
Cameron Campbell helped Wright State earn points in the 200 meters with her eighth place finish (25.97), while Jayla Tarver finished 28th (27.16). In the 100 meters, Campbell tallied another Top 10 finish with her time of 12.55 (10th) and Tarver finished 16th (12.79).
In the relays, Wright State recorded two top 10 finishes. The team of Jayla Tarver, Kayle Willis, Emma Carr, and Cameron Campbell finished seventh in the 4x100 meter relay with their time of 52.00. The 4x400 meter relay saw the team of Alycea Ruhlen, Lauren Shuman, Alicia Neumeier, and Kaitlyn Miller's time of 4:20.14 earn them a seventh place finish.
Callista Hess and Tatiana Brown both finished tied for 16th in the high jump with their jump of 1.43 meters. Amelia Harlow (24th, 1.43m) and Bekah Robertson (25th, 1.38.) also competed in the event.
Callista Hess earned three points for Wright State with her sixth place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 10.07 meters.
