Tanner Holden named to Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List

BOSTON, MA – Wright State men's basketball junior guard Tanner Holden has been named to the Lou Henson Award mid-season Watch List, announced on Wednesday night. The award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.

Holden, who was previously named to the award's preseason watch list prior to the season, is averaging 20.0 points per game while adding 6.0 rebounds per contest entering Thursday night's game at Robert Morris. Holden has scored in double-digits in 15 of 16 games to date this season, with 10 games of 20-plus points, including a season-best 26 points on January 8, one point shy of his career high.

Holden's 91 made free throws and his 114 total attempts are both currently No. 2 in the country through Wednesday's games, while his 300 total points scored is No. 20 in the country and his 20.0 points per game average is No. 22 nationally.

A Horizon League all-freshman team selection in 2019-20, Holden was a first team performer last season on the way to preseason Horizon League accolades and a spot on the Lou Henson Award preseason team.
