
Raiders fall on road to No. 4 Ohio State

COLUMBUS — The Wright State women's basketball program fell to No. 4 Ohio State 105-52 on Wednesday afternoon at Value City Arena.
Isabelle Bolender scored Wright State's first eight points of the game and finished with a team-leading 13 points in the non-conference contest. Bryce Nixon reached double-figure scoring for the second-straight game, as she totaled 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting to go along with a team-best three assists. Kacee Baumhower notched six points and five rebounds, while Rachel Loobie pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Ohio State (5-0) proved its top-five national ranking, finishing the game with a 55% (39-of-70) shooting percentage and a 46% clip (12-of-26) on 3-point attempts. The Buckeyes forced WSU to 23 turnovers, including 16 in the second half.
OSU also held substantial advantages in rebounding (42-to-30), points in the paint (52-to-22), and points off turnovers (26-to-5).
WSU (1-3) found itself down 26-13 after the first quarter and trailed by double digits for the remainder of the non-conference contest. The Raiders were at their best offensively in the second quarter with 15 points on 7-of-17 shooting.
Wright State finished the day shooting 37% (20-of-53) from the floor and 32% (8-of-25) on 3-pointers.
The Buckeyes had six players score in double figures, led by Rebeka Mikulasikova with a game-high 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting. OSU's Madison Greene came close to a double-double with 17 points and eight assists.
The Raiders will return to action on Monday, November 28, at Eastern Illinois.
