Bowlers capture team title Saturday

COLUMBUS, OH – The Wright State bowling team competed in the AHBA #3 tournament on Saturday, with both the 'varsity' and 'junior varsity' squads winning their portions of the tournament.

Both the teams bowled five team games and 12 Baker games. 'Varsity' finished the tournament with a total pinfall of 6855 and the 'junior varsity' finished with a total pinfall of 6356.

Natalie Hanson finished first for qualifying games to lead all competitors, tallying a total pinfall of 1077 and averaging 215.4 for the tournament. Alina Stebbins and Makenzie Gossett tied for fifth, as each had a total pinfall of 891 and total tournament average of 178.2.

On the 'junior varsity' side, the Raiders finished with four of the top five bowlers as Kennedy Moore took the top spot with a total pinfall of 921 and a tournament average of 184.2. Anna Johns and Paige Patterson tied for second with a total pinfall of 862 and a tournament average of 172.4 and rounding out the top five was Addie Buckenroth, who had a total pinfall of 832 and a tournament average of 166.4. Way to go Girls!

Wright State is now in an extended break before continuing competition January 7 and 8 in Canton, Ohio at the Cavalier Classic.
