
2022-23 Horizon League Men's Basketball Conference Schedule Unveiled

DAYTON/INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced its 2022-23 men's basketball conference schedule Tuesday afternoon, as head coach Scott Nagy and the Raiders look to defend their HL tournament title from last March.

For the second straight season, the Horizon League schedule begins with a single weekend of action to open December before the close of non-conference slates around the League. The final 18 contests of the regular season will begin just ahead of the new year and run through the final weekend of the regular season in late February.

"We feel the Horizon League has improved overall," Nagy said. "There are many key players returning for another year with plenty of new talent entering the league. We look forward to the challenge we have ahead of us in the Horizon League."

Wright State will begin its 2022-23 Horizon League journey at home inside the Nutter Center on Thursday, December 1 against Robert Morris, before a meeting with Youngstown State on Sunday, December 4. The Raiders close out the 2022 calendar with a short trip south to take on Northern Kentucky on December 29 before ringing in 2023 with a quick trip over to Indianapolis and IUPUI on January 2.

The Raiders' first home contests of 2023 will come on January 6 and 8 against Detroit Mercy and Oakland before they embark on their longest League trip of the year and visits to Green Bay and Milwaukee on January 12 and 14. Wright State will host four-straight home contests inside the Nutter Center to close January, welcoming Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 19), Cleveland State (Jan. 21), Milwaukee (Jan. 26) and Green Bay (Jan. 28) to town over that stretch as the second half of Horizon League play begins.

A weekend trip to the eastern-most League foes kicks off February, as Wright State travels to Youngstown State (Feb. 2) and Robert Morris (Feb. 4) before returning to the Nutter Center for matchups with IUPUI (Feb. 8) and Northern Kentucky (Feb. 10) to close the regular season home schedule. The Raiders end the regular season slate with back-to-back road weekends, first against Cleveland State (Feb. 17) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 19) before heading to Michigan to take on Oakland (Feb. 23) and Detroit Mercy (Feb. 25) the final weekend of the regular season.
