
Raiders complete final tune-up before HL Championships

DAYTON — The Wright State cross country teams had a small contingent of runners compete at the Wild Bill Invite on Friday at Fairborn Community Park.Â
The Raiders had five individuals complete the women's 6,000-meter race, led by Alycea Lemmon in fourth with a time of 24:59.9. She was followed by Sydney Thompson in sixth (25:04.9), Elle Lambert in ninth (26:35.1), Cecelia Alexander in tenth (26:44.0), and Carly Biederman in 15th (30:13.9).Â
Nathan Picklesimer was WSU's top finisher in the men's 8,000-meter race, as he took 13th overall with a time of 28:38.3. John Steimle (17th, 28:53.0), Nathan Childs (20th, 29:18.9), and David Steimle (22nd, 30:15.9) rounded out Raider men in the 8K.Â
Wright State will remain home to host the Horizon League Cross Country Championship on October 28 at Fairborn Community Park.
