Martin named Female Athlete of the Month for September

DAYTON — Callie Martin, a member of the Wright State volleyball program, has been named the September Female Athlete of the Month, presented by Dayton Children's Hospital's The Center for the Female Athlete.

Martin finished the month with 138 kills, the second-most on the Raider roster, while reaching 1,000 career digs. She was named to the Tru by Hilton Dayton Beavercreek Invitational tournament MVP and earned the Horizon League's Player of the Week honors on September 25 for her play in the first week of conference action. Her 138 kills equated to a 3.14 kills per set average, while she added 140 digs, a 3.18 digs per set pace, 33 blocks, 20 assists and eight service aces for a stuffed monthly stat line.

Martin and the Raiders return to action this weekend on the road, traveling to take on Green Bay Friday night at 7 p.m. ET before a 5 p.m. Saturday meeting with Milwaukee. Both matches are expected to be streamed on ESPN+.
