Bowlers continue action in Tennessee on Saturday

NASHVILLE, TN - The Wright State bowling team continued action at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic on Saturday, dropping four close matches in traditional team games.

Through two days of action, the Raiders are now in 23rd place while averaging a 175.0 with a 8,749 total pinfall (4,246 pinfall in Saturday's traditional matches).

Wright State will begin Sunday's championship bracket with a matchup against Marian (WI).

Saturday, the Raiders opened with a tight loss to Carthage College (898-813) before falling to Carthage a second time (993-748). Wright State also dropped matches to Lewis (978-891), Maryland-Eastern Shore (959-887) and Sam Houston State (1,097-907) to close the day's action. Sam Houston State is ranked ninth in the latest polls while Maryland-Eastern Shore is 10th in the rankings.

Individually, Natalie Hanson is 42nd with a 197.20 average over five games, while Makenzie Gossett (121st) averaged a 175.75 in four games, followed by Alex Drsek (125, 165.50, four games) and Zoe Paxhia-Poppaw (128, 155.50, four games).
