DAYTON/INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced its 2023-24 men's basketball conference schedule Tuesday afternoon, as head coach Scott Nagy and the Raiders now know the road ahead to navigate through the 20-game conference slate.
The Horizon League schedule again begins with a single early conference game, coming at the end of November, before the close of non-conference slates around the League. The final 19 contests of the regular season will begin just ahead of the new year and run through the final weekend of the regular season on March 2.
"The Horizon League will be very competitive this season," Nagy said. "There are a lot of good returning players with plenty of talent being added across the board. We look forward to competition that the League provides every night."
Wright State will begin its 2023-24 Horizon League journey at home inside the Nutter Center on November 29 against IUPUI before wrapping up non-conference play. The Raiders begin the remainder of the League schedule when they close out the 2023 calendar with their longest conference trip of the season, taking on Green Bay on December 29 before visiting Milwaukee on New Year's Eve. Wright State begins 2024 with a January 4 home contest against Cleveland State before three straight road contests – January 6, 10 and 12 – at Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris and Youngstown State. The Raiders will host Green Bay and Milwaukee inside the Nutter Center January 18 and 20, respectively, before heading back on the road for visits to Cleveland State (January 25) and IUPUI (January 28).
The Raiders will play six of their final nine Horizon League contests at home to close the season, beginning February 1 against Youngstown State. Following a quick trip to take on Northern Kentucky (February 4), Wright State will remain at home for its next three contests – February 8 against Detroit Mercy, February 10 against Oakland and February 17 when Robert Morris comes to town. The Raiders will turn around and visit Detroit Mercy (February 22) and Oakland (February 25) in their final road trip of the regular season before ending the slate with two final home games. Purdue Fort Wayne comes to the Nutter Center on February 28 before the regular season concludes on March 2 against Northern Kentucky.
The opening rounds of the Horizon League Basketball Championships will once again start on campus with early round matchups set for March 5 and 7. The semifinals and Horizon League championship game will take place March 11 and 12 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis.
