
Bowlers turn in Top 10 finish to open second half of schedule

Addison, IL – The Wright State bowling team opened the second half of its schedule over the weekend at the Midwest Collegiate Classic in suburban Chicago, finishing 10th in a strong field that featured 29 total teams.

In addition to the team result, a pair of Raiders finished inside the top 20 individually, with Makenzie Gossett (185.4 pinfall average) the No. 12-ranked bowler and Allison Shattuck (181.4 pinfall average was No. 18.

As a group, the Raiders recorded a 4,283 total pinfall in the five regular games before totaling 3,443 pins in Baker game action for a 7,726 total pinfall. Behind Gossett and Shatuck, Natalie Hanson was No. 37 individually with a 173.0 pinfall average.

Wright State is back in action next Saturday at the Ohio Bowling Conference Event 4. The Raiders took home a pair of first place finishes in the third event back in November.
