Busy weekend on tap for Bowling

DAYTON – The Wright State bowling team is set for a weekend full of action, with one squad attending three days of play at Destination Orlando and another squad competing closer to home at the Ohio Bowling Conference Event 2 on Saturday and at the Orange & Black Classic on Sunday.

Action in Orlando begins Friday morning at 9:20 a.m. with five Baker matches before five traditional games starting at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday. Florida competition wraps up on Sunday beginning at 8:20 a.m. with three matches and then three best-of-seven Baker matches.

The Raiders will be represented in Orlando by Natalie Hanson, Emma Hatfield, Rylie Jeanneret, Paige Patterson, Mia Sayles, Jasmine Schulze, Alli Shattuck, and Alina Stebbins.

Competing teams joining the Raiders in Orlando include: Alabama A&M, Alabama State, No. 2 Arkansas State, (RV) Bryant, Daemen, No. 23 Delaware State, No. 10 Duquesne, Emmanuel, Florida A&M, No. 1 Jacksonville State, No. 7 Louisiana Tech, (RV) Monmouth, No. 12 Mount Saint Mary's, No. 6 North Carolina A&T, No. 5 Nebraska, Prairie View A&M, No. 18 Sacred Heart, Saint Anselm College, No. 11 Stephen F. Austin, No. 13 Tulane, (RV) UAB, No. 4 Vanderbilt and No. 3 Youngstown State.

The second set of Raiders in action will open their weekend at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Ohio Bowling Conference Event 2 with four regular and eight Baker games. On Sunday, the group will be right here at home at the Orange & Black Classic at Beaver Vu Bowl in Beavercreek, OH with five team games set to get underway at 8 a.m.

Raider representatives for Saturday and Sunday action include: Jada Baker, Hannah Dingledine, Faith Ford, Aiyana Godwin, Anna Johns, Addy Meshew, Kennedy Moore, Kiandra Smith and Heather Walker.

After this weekend's busy slate of action, Wright State will be back in action on November 9 and 10 as hosts of the annual Raider Classic at Beaver Vu Bowl in Beavercreek, OH.
