Noel earns Male Athlete of the Month honors for November

DAYTON — Brandon Noel, a member of the Wright State men's basketball team, has been named the November Male Athlete of the Month, presented by Life Connection of Ohio and Lions Eye Bank of West Central Ohio.

Noel averaged 21.0 points per game in the opening month of the season, tallying 20-plus points in six of the nine contests while adding an 8.0 rebounds per game average. He tallied 27 points twice, on November 9 at Miami (OH) and then on November 21 against Princeton in the Myrtle Beach Invitational, finishing with a double-double against Miami (OH) and adding another double-double at Toledo on November 13. Noel was named to the Myrtle Beach Invitational All-Tournament team after averaging 19.3 points per game in the three contests with a 6.0 rebounds per game average, reaching the 1,000-point milestone in the first game of the tournament on November 21 against Princeton.

Noel and Wright State are back in action next Wednesday, December 18 as the Raiders welcome Youngstown State to the Nutter Center in their Horizon League home opener. The Raiders then close the calendar year on the road December 21 (at Eastern Michigan) and December 29 (at Cleveland State) before returning to the Nutter Center for five of their eight January contests.
