Raiders add nine players for 2024-25 season

DAYTON – The Wright State women's basketball team has announced the addition of nine signees, six transfers and three freshmen, for the upcoming 2024-25.
 
Olivia Brown (Akron), Lexi Bugajski (App State), Chloe Chard-Peloquin (Canisius), Makenzie Drout (App State), Abbie Riddle (Bowling Green), and Amaya Staton (Merrimack College/Cleveland State) will be coming to Wright State as transfers. Anna Azzara, Florrie Cotterill, and Elle Bruschuk will enter the season as freshmen.

  • Appeared in two games her second year at Canisius, before being out the rest of the season due to injury.
  • Played in 22 games her freshman year, averaging 3.2 rebounds per game.
  • Shot .422 from the floor, going 38-of-90 in the 2022-23 season.
  • 2023-24 MAAC All-Academic Team selection.
  • Four-year high school basketball letter-winner, and three-year for volleyball.
  • Averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals per game her senior year.

  • Recorded a collegiate career high of 12 points, with five field goals made, at Marquette on December 17, 2023.
  • Four-year high school letter-winner.
  • Finished her high school career with 1,399 points, ranking second in program history, and held the school record with 655 rebounds.
  • Northeast Wisconsin Player of the Year nominee.

  • All-Ohio First-Team selection as a senior, previously a third-team honor as a sophomore and honorable mention as a freshman.

  • In the 2023-24 season, averaged 10.9 points per game shooting 46% overall and 80.5% on the line.
  • Tallied 359 rebounds, 78 blocks, and 38 steals at MC.
  • Recorded a career high of 26 points against Yale on December 3, 2023.

  • Senior year 1st Team All State PIAA 6A, Mercury All- Area Player of the year, 1st Team All Area, 1st Team All-PAC and 1st Team All-League.
  • Averaged 15.6 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 3 steals per game.
  • Currently a finalist for 2024 Miss PA Basketball.
  • Second all-time leading scorer both boys and girls behind Iowa's Lucy Olsen
