10/19/2025 4:19:00 PM | Women's Soccer
MILWAUKEE, WI- Sophomore Olivia Stroud scored with just eight seconds left on the clock to earn the Raiders a tough-fought point on the road at Milwaukee.
Wright State (6-6-4, 3-1-4 HL) will return home to Alumni Field on Saturday to host Robert Morris. First touch is slated for 6 p.m., and fans are encouraged to hang around after the game for a ceremony honoring the 2025 Wright State women's soccer senior class.
The Raiders would open the scoring in the 23rd minute courtesy of a long-range strike off the right foot of Zara Graff. Ashley Vaughn played the ball to Graff at the halfway line. The junior took three dribbles and fired a right-footed strike that found the top corner of the goal past the fully extended Milwaukee goalie.
Milwaukee would level the score just six minutes later. Mallory McGuire received the ball just outside the 18-yard box, playing a pass through to Lola Wojcik who was able to tap the shot home.
The Panthers took the lead in the 51st minute in dramatic fashion via an Olimpico. Kristina Karlof stood over the corner kick, firing in a shot that just curled inside the back post to give Milwaukee a 2-1 advantage.
Wright State kept up the pressure in the second half and finally broke through in the waning seconds of the match. Amber Branum played a pass out to Ruby Dunlevy on the left wing. Dunlevy played a pass into the box that found the feet of Stroud, who turned and fired a shot around the Panthers' goalie and into the back of the net with just eight seconds left on the clock.
In the box score, Wright State led Milwaukee in shots (18-17), but trailed the Panthers in shots on goal (6-8) and corner kick opportunities (1-7)
