Raiders Score 122 Points in Record-Breaking Win over Wilberforce

DAYTON- The Wright State women's basketball team set a new program best for points scored in a single game with 122 points. Their first time eclipsing 100 points since November 10, 2017, against Northwestern (OH).
Wright State (2-1) will continue its four-game home stand on Sunday, November 16, as Evansville visits the Nutter Center. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
The Raiders led wire-to-wire on Wednesday night, taking the lead just 19 seconds into the game and never looking back. Breezie Williams led all players in points for the second game in a row, following up her 27-point performance with another 20-point performance in just 14 minutes Wednesday night. Ellie Magestro-Kennedy (17), Elaina Rager (17), Rylee Sagester (17), and Grace Okih (16) all scored double-digits, with Okih and Rager setting new career highs. All 11 available Raiders saw action on the court tonight, with each player scoring at least four points.
Wright State was making it rain from downtown, tying the program record in three-pointers made with 18. The Raiders did it shooting an impressive 47.4% from beyond the arc.
The Raiders jumped all over Wilberforce in the first half, taking a 47-point lead into the halftime locker room. WSU was able to extend that lead thanks to a 13-point run in the middle of the second quarter. Williams and Rager led all players in points with 13 and 12, respectively, after the first 20 minutes.
The second half was much of the same from Wright State, outscoring Wilberforce 54-26 in the final 20 minutes. Freshmen Maja Dilen and Elaina Rager saw big minutes for Kari Hoffman's squad down the stretch, with each playing 10+ minutes for the first time in their collegiate careers.
In the box score, the Raiders led in rebounds (56-28), points in the paint (42-18), second chance points (24-9), fast break points (13-9), and bench points (66-24).
