DAYTON — The Wright State men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday, November 14, at Angel Mounds Cross Country Course in Evansville, Indiana and hosted by the University of Evansville.

Wright State last competed in the 2025 Horizon League Championship two weekends ago. The Wright State men's turned in an sixth-place overall finish and the Raider women were 11th at the 2025 Horizon League Championships on Saturday at the Mastodon Cross Country Course in Fort Wayne.
Patrick Statzer turned in a time of 24:38.6 on the way to his 21st-place mark, shaving more than a minute off his finishing time at last year's HL Championship where he also led the Raider men.
Shelby Hept led the Wright State women in the women's 6k race, finishing 32nd with her 22:18.6 time. Hept trimmed off nearly a minute and a half better than her mark from last season.

Friday's meet will be hosted at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course (8215 Pollack Avenue, Evansville, IN 47715) with an admission fee of $10.
The flat and fast course is divided into 2k and 3k loops to accommodate 5k, 6k, 8k, and 10k courses. 15-20 feet of elevation change per loop. The course has hosted events such as the NCAA DII Cross Country Midwest Regional, NCAA DII Cross Country National Championship, NCAA DI Cross Country Great Lakes Regional, Great Lakes Valley Conference Cross Country Championship, and Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championship.
COMPETITION CHECK
A total of 35 schools from four states (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin) and nine different conferences are competing at the Great Lakes Regional.
