Men's Basketball heads to Indy for regular season finale

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team wraps up the regular season on Saturday afternoon at IU Indy, with the afternoon contest set for a 2:30 p.m. start. Fans can follow the action several ways - via live stats, by watching on ESPN+ or by tuning in to the home for Raider Basketball 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the action on the radio feed.
Fans can tune into 101.5 HANK FM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry 101.5 HANK FM. Just search "101.5 HANK FM" on any of the three apps for Raider Basketball.Â
Wright State and IU Indy will play in back-to-back games, with the two sides already locked in for postseason positioning and will run it back inside the Nutter Center on Tuesday in the opening round of the Horizon League Championship. Season ticket holders can access their invoice in their online account to pay for their tickets ahead of the tournament action. The deadline to purchase before your seat locations are made available to the general public will be Monday, March 3.Â

Brandon Noel and Alex Huibregtse each turned in 20 points on Thursday night as Wright State overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat Cleveland State as the Raiders closed the game on a 23-9 scoring run to grab a come from behind 82-76 victory. Huibregtse scored 14 of his 20 in the second half, while Noel just missed another double-double with nine rebounds to go with his 20 points. Solomon Callaghan was the third Raider in double figures with 14 points.Â
SWITCHING IT UP
Wright State led for only 2:48 in Thursday's comeback win over Cleveland State, taking the lead for good with just over two minutes to play. The win marked only the second victory the Raiders have notched this season when trailing with five minutes to play (2-11). Additionally, Wright State was outrebounded, 29-19, giving the Raiders just their third win when getting outrebounded (3-8).
A SERIES CALLED JAG(S)
Wright State and IU Indy (formerly IUPUI) have previously met 27 times entering Saturday's action, with the Raiders leading the series 24-3 having won the last 15 meetings and 18 of the last 19 matchups overall. IU Indy won the first game of the series back on Nov. 29, 1976 (89-84) but the Raiders have had almost all the success in the series since. Four Raiders had double digits scoring in the first meeting on February 8 in a 91-73 win. Brandon Noel led all players with his 26 point, 16rebound double-double, while Keaton Norris had 17 points and Solomon Callagahan and Jack Doumbia had 12 points each.Â
EYING IU INDY
- IU Indy is 9-21 overall and 5-14 in the Horizon League, having lost five of its last six games overall. The Jaguars are currently 5-8 at home, however they have not won at home since a Jan. 9 win over Detroit Mercy.
- IU Indy has three players averaging double digits scoring, led by Paul Zilinskas (17.7 ppg). Jarvis Walker (15.4 ppg) and Sean Craig (11.8 ppg) are also averaging 10-plus points a night.Â
HUIBREGTSE BOUNCES BACK
Alex Huibregtse recorded 20 points in Thursday's win over Cleveland State, his fifth performance of 20-plus points this season and by far his best game in the month of February, previously reaching double digits just once in the first six games of the month. Huibregtse has tallied double digits scoring in 22 of 29 games this season with 10 games scoring 15-plus points.Â
YOU NOEL IT'S COMING. . .
Brandon Noel has recorded 20-plus points 17 times this season and currently has 30 such games in his career. He has recorded double-digits scoring in 26 of 30 games with nine double-doubles this season. In addition to the double-doubles, Noel has five more games where he finished with nine boards. He's currently just shy of a double-double average for the season with his 19.1 points/game and 8.1 rebounds/game marks.
MAGIC MIKE
Michael Imariagbe has come on in the month of February, scoring six or more points in six of seven games in the month with a pair of double digit scoring efforts - 13 points against Northern Kentucky (Feb. 21) and 10 points at Milwaukee (Feb. 14). Imariagbe shot 70.0 percent overall in the month (21-of-30) and connected at 76.5 percent at the free throw line (13-of-17), up from his season averages of 60.4 percent shooting and 63.6 percent at the line.
