Track & Field heads to 2025 Horizon League Outdoor Championships

DAYTON — The Wright State track and field programs will be in action over three days this weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the Raiders travel to Youngstown, Ohio and Youngstown State for the 2025 Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Action is set to start at noon on Friday with Decathlon action and opening field events before the opening running events kick off at 7:20 p.m. Saturday's full slate gets underway at 9 a.m. with the Decathlon, continuing at noon with field events and a full afternoon on the track beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday's action gets started at 10 a.m. with field events before an afternoon full of track event finals kicking off at noon and going through the afternoon.
The Raider women finished seventh overall last season at the 2025 Championships, with the Wright State men finishing eighth.Â
Cierra Lively's first-place finish in the women's high jump highlighted several podium finishes last year, which also included Ethan Neblock and Alex McCarty finishing fifth in the men's 3000 Meter Steeplechase and men's 10,000m race, respectively. Hannah Falknor finished third in the women's 100m race and added a fourth-place finish in the women's 200m race, while Jude Elkins was sixth in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 15.04 seconds. Two Raider groups grabbed podium finishes as well - the men's 4 x 400m team and the women's 4 x 100m group.Â
