Women’s Soccer Announces 2025 Schedule

DAYTON – The Wright State women's soccer program, led by head coach Travis Sobers, released its 2025 schedule on Friday morning. The 20-game slate features 10 contests at Alumni Field this fall.
The Raiders will prepare for the season with two exhibition matches, traveling to UNC Asheville on Monday, Aug. 4, and Ball State on Sunday, Aug. 10. Wright State opens the regular season with back-to-back home matchups—first against in-town rival Dayton on Thursday, Aug. 14, followed by Fairmont State on Sunday, Aug. 17.
WSU's first road test of the regular season will be at Louisville on Sunday, Aug. 24, before returning home to face Marshall on Wednesday, Aug. 27. The month concludes with a trip to Valparaiso on Saturday, Aug. 31.
The Raiders host four home matches in September, welcoming Bellarmine (Sept. 4) and Chicago State (Sept. 7) in nonconference play, followed by Horizon League games against Detroit Mercy (Sept. 21) and Oakland (Sept. 28). Road action includes visits to Central Michigan (Sept. 11), Purdue Fort Wayne (Sept. 18), and IU Indy (Sept. 25).
October begins with a home match versus Youngstown State (Oct. 4), followed by three Horizon League road contests at Cleveland State (Oct. 12), Green Bay (Oct. 16), and Milwaukee (Oct. 19). The Raiders close out the regular season at home against Robert Morris (Oct. 25) and Northern Kentucky (Oct. 29), with the latter serving as Senior Night.
Wright State finished the 2024 season with a 5-10-2 overall record and a 3-5-2 mark in Horizon League play. Two Raiders received postseason honors– Olivia Stroud was named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team, while Elise Canter earned Second Team All-League recognition.

The Falcons ended 2024 with a 12-7-1 overall record and a 9-5-0 mark in the Mountain East Conference. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

The Cardinals finished 7-6-5 overall and 2-5-3 in the ACC. This marks the 18th meeting, with Wright State leading the all-time series 12-4-1. The teams last met in 2018.
Marshall (Aug. 27, Alumni Field)
The Herd wrapped up 2024 at 3-8-5 overall and 1-5-4 in the Sun Belt. Wright State holds a 3-0-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a 2-1 double-overtime win in the 2021 season opener.
Valparaiso (Aug. 31, Valparaiso, IN)
Valparaiso finished last season with a 4-13-1 overall record, going 0-9-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. This will be the 20th matchup between Valpo and the Raiders, as Wright State holds a 11-3-5 record over the Beacons.
