Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

DAYTON- The Wright State women's soccer program, led by head coach Travis Sobers, released its 2026 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The 20-game slate features eight home contests at Alumni Field.

The Raiders will prepare for the season with an exhibition match, traveling down to Western Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 8. Wright State will open the regular season on the road at Southern Indiana on Thursday, Aug. 13.

WSU will then return home to Alumni Field to kick off the home portion of its 2026 slate with a pair of non-conference matchups – first against Butler on Sunday, Aug. 16, followed by IU Pennsylvania on Thursday, Aug. 20.

The Raiders will then hit the road for four straight contests, with stops at Marshall on Sunday, Aug. 23; Kentucky on Sunday, Aug. 30; Dayton on Thursday, Sept. 3; and Bellarmine on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Wright State will return home to Alumni Field to wrap up non-conference play on Sunday, Sept.13, hosting Indiana State. The Raiders will open Horizon League play at home on Saturday, Sept. 19, as Robert Morris comes to town. Wright State will wrap up September with a pair of Horizon League road contests at IU Indy on Thursday, Sept. 24, and Northern Illinois on Sunday, Sept. 27.

WSU will kick off October with a pair of home matches against Green Bay on Thursday, Oct. 1, followed by Milwaukee on Oct. 4. The Raiders will take a quick trip up to Youngstown State on Saturday, Oct. 10, before returning home to host two more Horizon League contests against Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday, Oct.15, and Cleveland State on Sunday, Oct. 18. Wright State will wrap up the regular season on a three -game road trip with stops at Oakland on Thursday, Oct. 22; Detroit Mercy on Sunday Oct. 25; and Northern Kentucky on Oct. 31.

Wright State finished 2025 with a 7-7-5 overall record and a 4-1-5 mark in Horizon League play. The Raiders made the Horizon League Championship, falling to Green Bay 3-1 in the quarterfinals.

The Catamounts finished 2025 with a 10-6-4 overall record and a 5-2-2 mark in SoCon play. 2026 marks the two teams' first meeting.

The Screaming Eagles posted a 9-7-5 record last season, going 4-2-3 in OVC play. Wright State leads the all-time series 2-0, with the last meeting occurring in 2024.

The Crimson Hawks finished 2025 with a 14-3-2 overall record and an 11-2-1 mark in PSAC play. 2026 marks the first meeting between the two squads.

Marshall (Aug. 23, Huntington, WV)
The Thundering Herd went 8-5-4 in 2025, going 4-2-4 in Sun Belt play. Wright State holds a 3-1-1 advantage in the all-time series, with Marshall coming out on top 2-1 when the two sides met at Alumni Field a season ago.

Kentucky (Aug.30, Lexington, KY)
The Wildcats posted a 12-4-5 record a season ago, with a 5-2-3 mark in SEC play. Kentucky leads the all-time series 4-1, with the last meeting coming in Lexington in the 2022 season.

Dayton (Sept. 3, Dayton, OH)
The Flyers finished with a 15-4-3 record in 2025, posting a perfect 10-0 record in A-10 play. Dayton leads the all-time series 25-5-4, including a 2-0 win at Alumni Field last season.

Bellarmine (Sept. 10, Louisville, KY)
The Knights went 11-6-3 a season ago, with a 4-5-1 mark in ASUN play. The series between Wright State and Bellarmine is tied at 1-1-1. The Knights came out on top 2-1 when the two sides met at Alumni Field last season.

Indiana State (Sept. 13, Alumni Field)
The Sycamores posted an 8-6-6 record last season, with a 4-2-3 record in Valley play. Wright State leads the all-time series over Indiana State 2-1. The two squads last met at Alumni Field in 2018, with the Sycamores coming out on top 2-0.

Robert Morris (Sept. 19, Alumni Field; Horizon League Opener)
The Colonials finished last season 4-9-4 with a 2-5-3 record in Horizon League play. Wright State holds a narrow 5-4 lead in the all-time series after defeating Robert Morris 3-2 at Alumni Field last season.

IU Indy (Sept. 24, Indianapolis, IN)
The Jaguars went 4-11-3 a season ago, posting a 3-5-2 record in Horizon League play. Wright State leads the all-time series 9-3-3. The Raiders picked up a 3-2 road win in Indianapolis a season ago.

Northern Illinois (Sept. 27, DeKalb, IL)
The Huskies posted a 4-10-3 record last season, including a 2-7-2 record in their final season in the MAC. Wright State leads the all-time series over its new conference foe 3-3-1. The two squads haven't met since 2005, when the Raiders picked up a 3-2 road win in DeKalb.

Green Bay (Oct. 1, Alumni Field)
The Phoenix finished last season 8-9-4, with a 4-3-3 record in Horizon League play, reaching the Horizon League Championship game before falling to Milwaukee 4-0. Wright State leads the all-time series 21-8-6. Green Bay picked up a pair of wins over the Raiders a season ago, including a 2-1 win in the regular season and a 3-1 win in the Horizon League Championship quarterfinal.

Milwaukee (Oct. 4, Alumni Field)
The Panthers picked up their eighth straight Horizon League Title, posting a 13-5-3 and an unbeaten 8-0-2 in Horizon League play. Milwaukee leads the all-time series 32-10-7. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw when the two squads met in Milwaukee last season, thanks to a last-second goal off the foot of Oliva Stroud.

Youngstown State (Oct. 10, Youngstown, OH)
The Penguins finished last season with an 8-10-2 overall record while posting a 6-2-2 record in Horizon League play. Wright State leads the all-time series over Youngstown State 23-3-4. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw when they met at Alumni Field in 2025.

Purdue Fort Wayne (Oct. 15, Alumni Field)
The Mastodons went 2-15-1 a season ago, with a 1-9-0 mark in Horizon League play. Wright State leads the all-time series over Purdue Fort Wayne 11-1-3. The Raiders picked up a pivotal 1-0 win in Fort Wayne a season ago.
