Bowlers wrap up weekend action on Sunday

NEW CASTLE, DE - The Wright State bowling team rolled three best-of-seven baker matches to finish the Northeast Classic on Sunday, dropping its first two matches of the day before bouncing back to grab a final win and finish the tournament in 15th place in the 36-team field.

The Raiders fell in seven games to Felician to open Sunday bracket play before another seven-game defeat against Niagara where Wright State battled back to force the deciding seventh game but came up short. The Raiders made quick work of the finale, winning in five games over Mount St. Mary's to end the weekend with a victory.

Rylie Jeanneret led the Raiders in 14th individually with a total pinfall of 1,072 and a 214.4 average, followed by Jasmine Schulze in 38th with her 1,006 total pinfall and 201.2 average. As a group, Wright State tallied a total weekend pinfall of 13,338 and had a game average of 193.0.

Next up for the Raiders will be tournament action at Columbia 300 Saints Invite in the St. Louis suburbs coming up in two weeks from January 30-February 1. Tournament action will take place at Bowlero Lakeside and action will get underway Friday morning.
