Bowlers roll three Sunday wins to wrap up Flyer Classic

LOCKPORT, IL – The Wright State bowling team tallied three bracket victories on Sunday's final day of action at the Flyer Classic, finishing 13th in the 26-team field.

Wright State, who entered the final day in 16th, opened best-of-seven Baker action with a 4-2 victory over Lewis after taking the final two games of the contest. The Raiders carried the momentum into a seven-game win over Tulane before closing the tournament with a four-game sweep over Wisconsin-Whitewater to complete the perfect Sunday.

Wright State tallied a total weekend pinfall of 12,644 and had a game average of 188.7. Mia Sayles led the Raiders in 14th individually with a total pinfall of 1,059 and a 211.8 average, followed by Alli Shattuck in 40th with her 982 total pinfall and 196.4 average.

Wright State is back in action next weekend at the NU Brunswick Spring Classic in Buffalo, with two days of action next Saturday and Sunday.
