DAYTON – Wright State men's basketball coach Clint Sargent has announced the addition of transfer Ilija Milijašević to join the Raider program.
Ilija Milijašević (Pronounced Ill-ee-ah Mil-ee-ah-soh-vitch), a 6-2 guard from Belgrade, Serbia, joins the Raiders after spending the 2025-26 season at DePaul, where he played in 16 games.
"What stood out most to us was Ilija's hunger and humility," Sargent said. "He has been part of high-level basketball throughout his career, from his playing days in Serbia to competing in the Big East at DePaul. He brings a competitive mindset, a great skill set, and valuable experience. We love his passion for the game and his desire to win."
Milijašević averaged 7.5 minutes per game for DePaul last season, as a three-point specialist. He shot 35.7 percent from the field, exclusively from behind the arc, on 28 attempts.
Before moving to the NCAA, Milijašević played professionally in Serbia and the Adriatic League with clubs including Dynamic, Spartak Subotica, and Mega Superbet. In 2024-25, he made 40 three-pointers on 89 attempts and was one of Mega Superbet's most efficient perimeter shooters. His best performance came against Budućnost in the playoffs, when he scored 17 points and connected on five three-pointers.
Internationally, he has represented Serbia at several youth levels with fellow Raider newcomer Nikola Djapa. At the 2024 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, Milijašević averaged 12.4 points and 3.7 assists per game, and he also helped Serbia win bronze at the 2022 U18 European Championship.
Milijašević becomes the ninth addition to the Wright State roster, joining transfers Nikola Djapa, Sam Johnson, CJ O'Hara, and Chadlyn Traylor, along with fellow high school signees Terrence Hayes Jr., Noah Lewis, Tahj Martin, and Landen Northrop.
