Lauer Named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – Wright State sophomore goalkeeper Leigha Lauer has been named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced on Monday.
Lauer recorded her second shutout of the season in Saturday's conference-opening win over Robert Morris. Lauer started and played all 90 minutes in-between the posts for the Raiders, recording six saves.
Lauer picks up her second weekly award after being named the HL Defensive Player of the Week on August 17.
The Raiders will make the quick trip west to IU Indy for their first Horizon League road test of 2026. First touch in Indianapolis is slated for 7 p.m.
