Biography
2019-20: Started in 27 of the 28 regular season contest the senior appeared in… averaging 26.6 minutes per game (746 total minutes; fourth most on the roster)… finished the season shooting 34 percent from the field and 68 percent from the free-throw line… tallied a second best 355 total points for the Raiders, averaging 12.7 points per game… recorded a season high 25 points against Detroit Mercy… the Michigan City, IN native would record 20 double-digit scoring games, including four 20+ point games… was named to the All-League Second Team.
2018-19: Miller turned in the eighth-highest single season three-point percentage in program history, connecting on 30.5 percent of her shots, while finishing the year averaging 11.6 points per game. Her 395 total points was three shy of the team lead to end the year and was the fourth-most total points scored during a junior season in program history.
2017-18: Played her sophomore season at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas...averaged 14.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 33 games
2016-17: Played her freshman year at the University of Arizona, averaged 3.6 points in 28 games for the Wildcats and collected, at the time, a career-high 16 points against Howard
High School: At Michigan City High School, Miller averaged 24.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.6 steals...shot over 49% from the field, 39% from three and 81% from the line...named “Girls Basketball Player of the Year” by three different publications in the Post-Tribune, Herald-Argus, and the News Dispatch.
Katrina Merriweather says: “Michal Miller is a really talented player and could be the best offensive player we have signed here. That gives her a big pair of shoes to fill. She will help us offensively, can shoot the three, get to the rim and help replace Chelsea Welch’s productivity.”
