LaShaunta' Jones

LaShaunta’ Jones joined Wright State in the fall of 2022, with the men’s basketball program as her primary sport responsibility.

The Springfield, Ohio native is a 2003 Wright State graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education and Athletic Training and was involved with the several teams while a student. Before beginning her 18-year career in athletics at Central State University, in 2002 she served as an athletic training intern with the Raider men’s basketball program. During her tenure at Central State, she served as the Interim Associate AD, Head Athletic Trainer, Senior Woman Administrator, Deputy Title IX, and Adjunct Professor.

Following her time at Central State, Jones continued her career in athletic training and athletic administration from 2019-2022 with Kettering Health Network as a staff athletic trainer, contracted with Stivers School for the Arts, and Dayton Public Schools, serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Dunbar High School, Belmont, High School, and Stivers School for the Arts. In the summer of 2022, Jones worked as a PRN Athletic Trainer with Ohio Valley Surgical Center in Springfield, OH, primarily working with Southeastern High School.

In addition to her bachelor’s degree from Wright State, Jones added her master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix in 2009. She currently resides in Fairborn, Ohio.
