Nate Reinhart joined the Wright State athletic staff as head men's and women's tennis coach in August, 2007.
<P>"Our goal is to compete for the Horizon League in both men's and women's tennis year in and year out," Wright State's athletic director Mike Cusack said. "We believe Nate will bring us to that level."
<P>Reinhart comes to WSU after serving as the assistant coach of the Mississippi State men's tennis program of the Southeastern Conference in 2006-07. He provided an immediate impact during his tenure at Mississippi State. Reinhart was instrumental in coaching and mentoring the four freshman standouts that made up two-thirds of the Bulldog line-up. As the men's assistant coach last year, Mississippi State reached a national ranking as high as 25th nationally.
<P>Prior to his tenure at Mississippi State, Reinhart served as the assistant men's tennis coach at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2004-2006 and at Harvard University in 2004.
<P>Since his coaching career began in 2004, Reinhart has continually built a strong coaching list. In 2006, Reinhart was one of 16 nationally selected coaches to travel to the Orange Bowl to participate in the special USA Tennis High Performance Program. The goal of the program was to analyze and give input in development of world class junior American tennis players.
<P>In 2005, Reinhart became a graduate of the USA Tennis Elite High Performance Coaching Program. Additionally in 2005, he was selected as one of 20 coaches to participate in a special Coaching Program for the progressive development of world-class tennis players which took place at the U.S Open. The USPTA also awarded Reinhart in 2005 with the honor of being a Specialist in Competitive Player Development.
<P>As a former letterman as well as captain at Furman University in South Carolina, Reinhart played under legendary coach Paul Scarpa who is the winningest active coach in Division I college tennis with more than 790 victories.
<P>After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1996, Reinhart spent 5 years working in the business world before turning his attention back to the courts.
<P>Born on May 2, 1973, Reinhart is a native of Wellfleet, Massachusetts which is located on Cape Cod and a 1991 graduate of Nauset Regional High School.
