Golf Finishes Fifth at Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational

On a day that started with a blanket of fog over the course, the Wright State golf team emerged with a fifth place finish at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational. Tyler Miskell and Chip Knuckey, who each finished in the top-20, paced the Raiders on the Links.
The Green and Gold fired a four-over-par to move up from a tie for sixth with Ohio and IUPUI to the fifth place spot. The Raiders were paced by Miskell who shot rounds of 77, 66, and 71 to tie for 16th place at four-over-par.
Chip Knuckey was the second Raider finisher, with rounds of 69, 74 and 72, in a tie for 20th at five-over-par. Matt Bond and Brandon Knutson each shot eight-over-par and finished in a tie for 36th. Jeff Pontius rounded out the finishers for the Green and Gold with a ten-over, 220 and tied for 43rd place.
The Green and Gold finish up their fall season with a trip to Tennessee to compete in the Austin Peay Fall Invitational. The Raiders take to the course for 36 holes on Monday, October 23 at the Links of Novadell and finish up with 18 holes on Tuesday, October 24.
