The Wright State men's soccer team battled back from a 2-0 deficit and rallied for a 3-2 victory at Jacksonville on Friday evening. The Raiders used goals from three different players to complete their comeback and get head coach Mike Tracy his 50th win at his alma mater.
Braden Fleak got the scoring started at the 56:10 mark in the second half with the Raiders trailing 2-0. Fleak took a crossing pass from senior Jake Slemker and slipped it past JU keeper Chad Comroe for his fifth goal of the season.
Later in the half, senior Jonah Baskin tallied the equalizer from 22 yards out on the left flank. Baskin sent a shot towards goal and into the net via the upper right corner to tie the game at two-all.
The game winner came in the 80th minute when Uros Grujic sent a long pass into the box that found the head of Michael Conley to give WSU the lead. It was the second goal of the season for Conley and the first assist for Grujic in his young career.
With the win the Raiders improve 3-2 overall and head into their next match against the Golden Knights of Central Florida. The Green and Gold take to the pitch on Sunday, September 10, for a noon contest.
