
Men's Soccer Defeats Pitt 2-1 in Double Overtime

The Wright State men's soccer team downed Pitt on Friday evening in their opening match of the Pittsburgh Soccer Classic. Milovan Milosevic netted the game tying goal in the 69th minute and Tony Labudovski tallied the golden goal in the 119th minute to lift WSU.
The Panthers opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Andy Kalas headed a free kick past WSU keeper Tebias Mason.
In the first half, Pitt took six shots and WSU attempted four shots. In net, Mason made four saves and WSU attempted two corner kicks.
The second half started with a WSU equalizer, as Milosevic netted his first goal of the season. The junior stole the ball from the Pitt defender and netted the game tying goal at the 68:20 mark.
The two teams played the next 50 minutes scoreless, before Labudovski netted the golden goal. The senior struck on a header off of an Anthony Smerk serve into the box. The goal was the second of the season for Labudovski, both coming in overtime, and he now has two game winners this season.
The Raiders are 2-1 overall this season and will continue play at the Pittsburgh Soccer Classic. The Green and Gold will take on Robert Morris on Sunday, September 2 starting at Noon.
