Men's Soccer Falls at #5 Akron

The Wright State men's soccer team dropped an 8-0 match against #5 Akron on Wednesday evening at Lee Jackson Field. The Zips scored two goals in the first 12 minutes to defeat the Raiders on a soggy evening in Akron.
Steve Zakuani tallied the first three goals of the match for Akron, notching markers in the 11th, 12th, and 18th minute of the match. Adam Ampaipitakwong added a goal in the 37th minute and Aaron Henkle added a tally in the 38th minute to give UA the 5-0 halftime lead.
The Zips added three more tallies in the second half, two off of the foot of Teal Bunbury and one coming from Matt Tutich, to account for the final margin of 8-0.
Braden Fleak took two shots on-goal and senior Josh Grossman tallied a shot on-goal in the match.
Matt Koewler made two saves in net in the first half and freshman Aaron Ritter posted three saves in the second half of play.
The Raiders (3-9-1) will get back into Horizon League play on Saturday at 7:00 against Butler at Alumni Field. It will be the final home match for seniors Josh Grossman, Milovan Milosevic, Anthony Smerk and Josh Zimmerlin.
