The Wright State men's soccer team dropped their third straight match at Buffalo on Friday evening. The Raiders fell 3-1 to the host Bulls in their opening match of the 2008 Buffalo Fall Classic.
Buffalo netted the first two goals of the match, starting things off with a marker in the 28th minute off the foot of Lee Catchpole. Martin John then added the second goal of the match for UB at the 48:18 mark in the second half.
Wright State added their lone tally of the match at the 57:12 mark when Aaron Denny took a long pass from Milovan Milosevic and sent a shot over an outstretched keeper and into the back of the net. It was the first goal of Denny's WSU career and came in only his third match as a Raider.
Buffalo's Dominic Oppong added the third goal of the match for the Bulls in the 79th minute to account for the final margin of 3-1.
Buffalo took 15 shots to only six for Wright State and the Bulls held a five-to-two edge in corner kicks.
The Raiders are now 0-3 and will wrap up play at the Buffalo Fall Classic on Sunday, September 7, with a match against Canisius. The Green and Gold will take to the pitch at Noon and look to pick up their first win of the season.
