
Volleyball Drops Four-Set Decision to Butler

The Wright State volleyball team was defeated Friday night by Butler in four sets by scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-23 in Horizon League action at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.
WSU outhit the Bulldogs .201-.191 for the evening with 19 kills from junior Chanel Gillies and Becca Awaa--each ended the match with 11 kills. Senior Michelle Hammond finished with 38 assists while Woods posted a double-double with her 11 kills and 13 digs. Senior Lexi Leonhard led WSU with 19 digs and freshman Stefanie Shiramizu added 14.
Wright State is now 10-14, 2-8 in the Horizon League while Butler jumps to 17-10, 7-3. The Raiders will host Valparaiso Saturday afternoon at 4 pm.
