Volleyball Falls to Valparaiso

The Wright State volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Valparaiso in Horizon League action Saturday afternoon at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium 25-16, 25-23, 25-22.
The Raiders led early in each set but couldn't hang on as they fell to 10-15 overall and 2-9 in Horizon League play as the Crusaders improved to 17-7 and 9-2. WSU was led by Shaunda Sandifer's 12 kills as she hit .385 for the match and collected three total blocks. Chanel Gillies added eight kills as Michelle Hammond finished with 27 assists and Jessica Woods led the Raiders with 12 digs.
Wright State's next match will be a nonleague contest at home on Tuesday, October 27, as the Raiders host Cincinnati Tuesday at 7 pm.
