Swimming and Diving Swept at Oakland

The Wright State swimming and diving program were swept on Saturday afternoon at the OU Aquatic Center, with the men dropping a 158-140 decision and the women falling 189-111. Caleb Nettleton led the men's squad with victories in both diving events, while Molley Pipkorn won three events in the women's program to pace WSU.
The two individual swims that the Raiders won came in the freestyle sprints, with Danny Munoz claiming the 50 yard freestyle and Hermanus Botha claimed the 100 yard freestyle. In those events, the Raiders took the top three spots in both of those events and later closed out the meet with a victory in the 400 yard Freestyle relay.
On the women's side, the Green and Gold were led by the sophomore Pipkorn, who claimed victories in three events. The Wisconsin native claimed the 1,000 yard freestyle and followed that with a win in the 200 yard freestyle in back-to-back events. Later in the program, Pipkorn won the 500 yard freestyle swim to pace Wright State.
Erin Stevning and Krystyna Wieczerzak each claimed individual events titles versus the Golden Grizzlies to close out the event winners for WSU.
The Raiders will next compete at the Miami Invitational staring on Thursday, December 3 and concluding on Saturday, December 5. The men's squad owns a 5-2 mark in dual meets this season, while the women's team is 5-3 overall this season.
