Golf Finishes Fifth at Dayton Flyer Invitational

Behind a field-best 71 from Scott Thompson, the Wright State golf team wrapped up the fall season with a fifth-place finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational Tuesday, held at the NCR South Course in Kettering.
Thompson's 71 gave him a two-round score of 146, good for a second-place tie and just one shot behind medalist Michael Davan of IUPUI. Cody Fixari tied for 14th with a 150.
The Raiders return to action March 6-8 with the Barefoot in the Beach tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
