The Wright State men's soccer team saw UIC score twice in the final 6:36 as they fell to the Flames 2-0 in Horizon League action Wednesday night in Chicago.
It was a scoreless battle until Eric Frazier gave the Flames the lead at the 83:24 mark of the second half as he connected on a header off a Ivan Stanisavljevic free kick. The duo then struck five minutes later, with the roles reversed.
"It was a very disappointing ending to a hard fought game," said head coach Bryan Davis. "The game was a tale of two halves in that they had the play in the first half and we did in the second."
"Their first goal was a bit controversial and was while they were on their heels," added Davis. "The second goal came from us pressing to get back into it. Credit UIC, though, for finding a way to win. We will get better from this."
UIC (8-4-3, 2-2-1 Horizon) outshot WSU 11-8.
Wright State (7-6-2, 3-2-1 Horizon) returns to Alumni Field for the final two home games of the regular season, starting on Saturday, October 29, as the Raiders host Green Bay at 7:00.
