
Men's Soccer Falls to Oakland

The Wright State men's soccer team scored first, but Oakland answered with a goal in the first half and one in the second to defeat the Raiders 2-1 Saturday night at Alumni Field.
Sophomore Brett Elder gave WSU the 1-0 lead at the 34:10 mark of the first half with his fifth goal of the season. Junior midlfielder Bryce Rockwell-Ashton was credited with the assist, his second.
Oakland, however, quickly tied the game with a goal just 4:47 later and the Golden Grizzlies came up with the game-winner at the 66:54 mark of the second half.
Freshman goalkeeper Tyler Blackmer recorded five saves for the Raiders.
Wright State (3-6-1, 1-2 Horizon) heads to the Windy City on Saturday, October 19, for a match at UIC that starts at 8:00 Eastern time.
