The Wright State golf team recorded its highest finish in a regular-season tournament since 2010 Tuesday as the Raiders placed second at the Murray State Invitational, held at the Miller Memorial Golf Course.
Junior Nick Scott led the way for the Raiders as he finished fourth with a three-round score of 209, earning All-Tournament Team honors, while sophomore Ryan Wenzler was seventh with a 214
The second-place finish is the best for WSU in a regular-season tournament since winning the Bluegrass Classic in Georgetown, Kentucky, April 13-14, 2010. It is the highest finish for the Raiders in any tournament since placing second at the Horizon League Championships April 22-24, 2011 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
The 865 team score is the lowest for Wright State in a three-round tournament since carding an 864 at the Marshall Invitational September 12-13, 2011.
Wright State returns to action next Monday and Tuesday, September 29 and 30, at the Cleveland State Invitational in Aurora, Ohio.
