
Volleyball Falls at Youngstown State

The Wright State volleyball team could not overcome a .319 hitting percentage by Youngstown State as the Penguins defeated the Raiders Saturday at the Beeghly Center by the scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-16.
YSU scored eight straight points to build a 10-2 advantage in winning the opening set and then hit .321 in taking the second set. The Penguins then hit an impressive .486 (20/3/35) in winning the final set.
WSU only trailed 39-36 in kills for the match, but Youngstown State hit .319 compared to .150 for the Raiders.
Ashley Langjahr had 12 kills to pace the Raiders while Maddie Lohmeier dished out 31 assists and Jessie Thornton recorded 15 digs.
Wright State (3-13, 0-2 Horizon) wraps up a 10-match road swing on Friday, October 3, with a 7:00 match at Oakland.
