
Men's Soccer Rallies for 3-2 Win at IPFW

Down two goals 20 minutes into the contest, the Wright State men's soccer team rallied from there, scoring the game-winner with 5:08 remaining for a 3-2 win at IPFW Tuesday night.
The Mastodons jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 9:45 mark of the first half and another at the 18:28 mark before the Raiders began their comeback with a goal at the 35:48 mark. Junior forward Peguy Ngatcha recorded his sixth goal of the season as he connected on a shot from 10 yards out off a pass by junior forward Eric Lynch. It was the third assist of the year for Lynch.
WSU then tied the contest with a goal at the 70:32 mark of the second half. Sophomore forward Jalim Bayo tallied his first goal of the year as he converted a shot from five yards out. Ngatcha was credited with the assist, his third of the season.
Senior forward Brett Elder provided Wright State with the game-winner at the 84:52 mark with his second goal of the year on an assist by Bayo, his first assist of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Tyler Blackmer posted three saves as the Raider defense shutout IPFW in the second half.
WSU led 18-8 in shots and 6-5 in corner kicks.
Wright State (10-6-1) closes out the regular season on Friday, November 6, with a key Horizon League contest against Oakland at Alumni Field starting at 7:00. WSU's two seniors--Wes Cain and Elder--will be recognized before the match.
