
Demmings Named SAAC Athlete of the Month

Senior guard Kim Demmings of the women's basketball team has been selected as the Wright State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Athlete of the Month for November, it was announced at their monthly meeting Thursday.
Demmings (Richmond, IN/Richmond) was named the College Sports Madness High Mid-Major Player of the Week on November 23 and the Horizon League Player of the Week November 23 and 30. She averaged 24.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the month while shooting 42 percent from the field and 71 percent at the foul line.
Demmings scored a season-high 32 points in a win over #24/23 George Washington at the Lone Star Showcase in Cedar Park, Texas, on November 28. She also had 28 points in that same tournament versus #25/21 Iowa on November 26, 27 points in the season opener at Miami (FL) on November 13 and 27 more in the home opener against Lipscomb on November 19, a game that saw her become WSU's all-tine leading scorer.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee holds a monthly meeting of Wright State team captains from all 16 sports along with athletic administration to discuss issues and concerns.
