Junior pitcher Danny Sexton of the baseball team has been selected as the Wright State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Athlete of the Month, it was announced at their monthly meeting Wednesday.

Sexton (Pataskala, OH/Watkins Memorial) went 3-0 with a save, a 0.35 earned run average and 17 strikeouts in 26 innings during the month. He had two strikeouts in two-inning save against Ohio and allowed just one run in a complete-game win with five strikeouts versus Valparaiso. Sexton, who was selected as the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week on March 27, pitched eight shutout innings with four strikeouts against Milwaukee and threw seven shutout innings with six strikeouts versus Oakland.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee holds a monthly meeting of Wright State team captains from all 16 sports along with athletic administration to discuss issues and concerns.
