Wenzler Medalist at Northern Kentucky Classic

Ryan Wenzler claimed medalist honors as the Wright State golf team finished third at the Northern Kentucky Classic, which concluded with the final round on Monday.
After tying the course record with a 64 in the second round on Sunday, Wenzler carded a 69 on Monday to finish six strokes ahead of Logan Hogge of team champion Morehead State.
It is the first collegiate medalist honor for the junior and the first for a WSU player since Nick Scott won the Wright State Intercollegiate back in April.
Cody Nickson also had a strong tournament for the Raiders as he finished in a tie for third with a 211, including a 70 on Monday.
Wright State returns to action at the Cleveland State Invitational in Aurora, Ohio, October 5-6.
